Pharmaceutical Operations Manager

Kelly Government Solutions is seeking an experienced Pharmaceutical Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for overseeing production processes, ensuring compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety regulations, optimizing operational efficiency, and leading a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership
 

  • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Provide leadership to achieve production targets, quality standards, and operational excellence
  • Partner with senior leadership on long-term planning, growth, and continuous improvement initiatives

Operational Management
 

  • Oversee all manufacturing and production activities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, and company policies
  • Optimize workflows to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance safety and quality

Quality Assurance
 

  • Partner with Quality Assurance to resolve issues and implement corrective/preventive actions
  • Promote a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement

Team Leadership & Development
 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop managers, supervisors, and production staff
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance work environment

Financial Management
 

  • Develop and manage the manufacturing budget
  • Monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving strategies
  • Partner with Finance and Supply Chain on cost analysis, variances, and scheduling
  • Support CAPEX planning, strategy, and ROI analysis
  • Report on operational and financial performance to senior leadership

Continuous Improvement
 

  • Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and operational excellence
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Monitor KPIs and implement strategies to exceed performance targets

Safety & Compliance
 

  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience
  • At least 3 years in a leadership or management role
  • Strong knowledge of GMP regulations and pharmaceutical production processes
  • Demonstrated leadership, team development, and performance management skills
  • Proven experience with lean manufacturing and process improvement
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with production management systems and tools
