Description:

Generis Tek Inc is seeking a Director of Acute Pharmacy Services for a full-time, permanent position in Rockford, IL. The Director will lead and oversee operations, financial management, regulatory compliance, and quality initiatives for all acute care hospital pharmacy departments within the client system. This senior role is responsible for optimizing pharmacy service delivery, aligning infrastructure with system goals, and enhancing patient care quality across hospital-based clinical services.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing system-wide programs, policies, and protocols to improve operational efficiency, patient safety, and customer satisfaction. The Director will lead the acute care pharmacy leadership team, coordinate with medical staff, nursing services, and ancillary departments, and ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and other state and federal regulations, including USP 797 and USP 800.

Additional responsibilities involve establishing performance metrics, tracking outcomes, managing budgets, assessing staff development needs, directing drug distribution, participating in key committees, and overseeing interdepartmental and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Basic Qualifications:

• PharmD degree from an accredited college or university

• Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 pharmacy residency in health-system pharmacy administration or equivalent experience

• Minimum 3 years of health-system pharmacy leadership experience

• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in Illinois and Wisconsin

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Pharmacy Administration, Healthcare Administration, or Business

• 5+ years of administrative leadership experience in a large academic or complex health system

• Board certification through the Board of Pharmacy Specialists preferred

• Advanced knowledge of health-system pharmacy operations, EPIC EMR navigation, and 340B/Specialty Pharmacy programs

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong organizational, time management, leadership, conflict management, and change management skills

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and related applications

• Ability to problem-solve, implement improvements, and achieve positive outcomes

• Strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making capabilities
