Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS), a nationally recognized leader in oncology care and clinical research since 1984, is seeking a dedicated Admixture Tech II to join their Orlando Downtown Office team. With over 250 physicians, 220 nurse practitioners and physician assistants, and nearly 100 clinic locations, FCS provides advanced cancer treatment, innovative research, and compassionate patient care across Florida.

The Admixture Tech II plays a key role in preparing hazardous and non-hazardous agents under the supervision of dispensing practitioners. This position demands technical expertise in sterile product preparation, a deep understanding of biological safety principles, and knowledge of handling antineoplastic/cytotoxic agents. The technician must ensure accuracy, safety, and efficiency while supporting patient treatment and overall clinical operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and suitability.

  • Perform precise mathematical calculations for drug admixtures.

  • Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications in compliance with safety standards.

  • Properly don and doff garb and PPE to maintain aseptic technique and prevent contamination.

  • Maintain detailed logs and documentation for research drugs, controlled substances, biological cabinet cleaning, and temperature monitoring.

  • Manage inventory of medications and clinical supplies, ensuring availability and integrity.

  • Handle and dispose of hazardous drugs in compliance with USP, OSHA, NIOSH, and federal/state regulations.

  • Collaborate across departments, including Nursing, Pharmacy Operations, Procurement, and Financial Counselors, to ensure uninterrupted patient care.

  • Participate in continuous education, training, and compliance initiatives.

  • Support clinical research activities and assist in special medication procurement.

  • Adhere to all confidentiality standards for patient and employee information.

  • Float technicians may be required to travel 75–100% weekly to meet clinic needs.


Education, Certifications & Licenses:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).

  • College degree (preferred).

  • Professional Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT preferred from PTCB).

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for training and educational sessions.


Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
