The East Harlem School at Exodus House, a private middle school serving low-income students in New York City, is actively seeking a passionate and dedicated Athletics Coordinator and Physical Education Teacher for a full-time role beginning in Fall 2025. This on-site position is integral to the school’s mission of developing students' physical, intellectual, and moral strength. All students engage in daily physical activity, making athletics a core part of the school culture.

The selected candidate will lead the school’s athletic and physical education programs and foster a strong culture of health and wellness. Responsibilities include coaching soccer and lacrosse for grades 7–8, teaching gym classes to younger students (grades 4–6) with a focus on physical development, and coordinating with the school's wrestling partner organization, Beat the Streets. Additional tasks include overseeing all inter-school sports leagues, managing equipment and uniforms, organizing the school’s swimming program at Asphalt Green, coordinating with outside coaches, booking buses and field permits, and supporting teacher coaching development.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep passion for sports and physical fitness, a commitment to working with underserved youth in East Harlem, and will model an active, health-conscious lifestyle.

This position includes a competitive salary package ($50000–$65000 annually) and full-time employment benefits.
