Sanford Research, through the Good Samaritan Society, is seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapist in Rapid City, SD, to provide compassionate and professional rehabilitation care in a Christian-centered environment. With over a century of service in senior care, this not-for-profit organization offers a meaningful career path that blends clinical expertise with purpose-driven care.

The therapist will operate primarily during day shifts, working 20 hours per week, and will be based at the GSS SD Rapid City Home Health facility located at 1851 City Springs Rd, Rapid City, SD 57702. This role focuses on planning and delivering physical therapy interventions that enhance mobility, reduce pain, build strength, and prevent disability for clients across various age groups and clinical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and treat patients experiencing functional limitations due to injury or disease.

• Develop personalized therapeutic plans and adjust them based on client progress.

• Document all treatment plans, assessments, and outcomes in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.

• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and home care strategies.

• Coordinate care with other healthcare providers, case managers, and support staff.

• Provide treatment in post-acute, long-term care, and home health care environments.

• Supervise therapy assistants, aides, and students when applicable.

• Contribute to department training and participate in internal and external organizational activities.

• Uphold Good Samaritan Society's mission and standards in daily clinical practice.

Qualifications:

• Must have completed the appropriate educational program and be licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of South Dakota.

• Valid driver’s license may be required for certain settings.

• Must obtain and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first 60 days of employment.

• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and documentation capabilities.
