Physical Therapist Assistant

Description:

Assists patients and clients with therapy activities and exercises based on a treatment plan under the supervision of a physical therapist. Provides, monitors, and documents therapy services for individuals with physical, cognitive, and developmental impairments. Works with Skilled Nursing Facilities and Home Health clients. Paid travel and mileage included.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement therapy activities as directed by a physical therapist

• Monitor and record therapy services and patient responses

• Modify therapeutic activities within competency and state regulations

• Communicate and document patient progress with the PT

• Follow clinical practice guidelines and facility procedures

• Provide therapy in post-acute, long-term care, and home health settings

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an approved APTA Physical Therapist Assistant program

• Licensed PTA in state of practice

• BLS certification within six months

• Valid driver's license (if applicable)

Desired Characteristics:

• Team-oriented and able to complement existing staff

• Flexible for weekdays/weekends/holidays as needed

• Strong communication and documentation skills
