Physician Assistant

Premise Health, a leading provider of direct healthcare services, is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join their on-site Health Center in Pleasanton, CA. In this full-time role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to client employees, supporting Premise Health’s mission to help people get, stay, and be well.

This position offers a structured weekday schedule (Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM) in a clinic/private practice setting. The ideal candidate is a compassionate, licensed healthcare professional with strong clinical skills and a commitment to preventive health, wellness, and continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and preventive health measures under the supervision of a physician.

• Conduct therapeutic procedures including injections, immunizations, wound care, suturing, and infection management.

• Develop and implement individualized patient management plans and document progress notes.

• Provide clear patient education and counseling on compliance, health maintenance, and disease prevention.

• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and manage patients’ clinical conditions.

• Record medical findings and prepare written instructions for patients regarding at-home care.

• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.

• Prescribe and recommend medications or therapies such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, and related treatments.

• Refer patients to physicians or specialized healthcare providers when necessary.

• Maintain accurate medical records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

• Perform other assigned clinical or administrative duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Degree from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.

• Certification: Current national certification (NCCPA required).

• Licensure:

  • Active state license to practice as a Physician Assistant.

  • Federal DEA license and any applicable state-controlled substance licenses.

  • Board of Pharmacy Prescribing License (as applicable).

• CPR Certification: BLS or ACLS certification meeting American Heart Association (AHA) standards, including hands-on evaluation.

• Experience: Prior clinical experience in primary care, urgent care, or occupational health preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach.

• Ability to perform minor procedures and manage acute and chronic conditions.

• Proficiency in EMR systems and clinical documentation.

• Demonstrated teamwork and adaptability in a multidisciplinary care environment.

Work Schedule:

• Type: Full-time, On-site

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Day shift)

• Setting: Health Center / Clinic / Private Practice

Compensation and Benefits:

• Annual Salary: $155,200 – $194,000 (Monthly equivalent: $12,933 – $16,166)
