Physician Interventional Cardiology

Description:

A leading nonprofit health system in New Mexico is launching a new cath lab in Santa Fe and seeks an Interventional Cardiologist to help build and expand the program. This role provides a rare opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven cardiac care expansion in an underserved region. The position is focused on coronary interventions, with two days per week in clinic and the remainder in the cath lab. There is no on-site CT surgery, and the role is not structural heart-focused, making it ideal for interventional cardiologists seeking hands-on coronary work.

The cardiologist will be supported by a large, established cardiology team based in Albuquerque, with opportunities for growth into clinical leadership roles as the Santa Fe program develops. The role also offers the chance to live and practice in one of the most scenic and culturally rich cities in the Southwest.

Responsibilities:

• Perform interventional cardiology procedures, primarily coronary interventions

• Spend two days per week in clinic and the remainder in the cath lab

• Collaborate with the regional cardiology team based in Albuquerque

• Contribute to building and expanding the new Santa Fe cardiac program
