Description:

As the Platform Relationship Sr. Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving Securian Financials' continued growth of the Employee Benefits Solutions business through our strategic partnership with benefits administration platforms. You’ll do this through a combination of sales and service by winning new employer clients, identifying opportunities for growth in existing mutual clients, and ensuring we retain our employer clients by supporting operational efficiencies, process improvement initiatives and current client service escalations. This role goes beyond mutual client service and will be expected to develop and champion strategic capabilities that create innovative solutions and experiences through synergies in this partnership.

Internally, you’ll partner closely with the experienced Employee Benefits Solutions Sales, Service, Enrollment and Technology teams to represent the value and best practices of our strategic partnership. Externally, you’ll represent and advocate for Securian’s value proposition with our strategic partner to identify mutual wins and drive client satisfaction.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Strategic Solutions: Collaborate with our strategic partner to define a joint go to market strategy and develop new solutions and capabilities, including integrated servicing and employee engagement, to drive outcomes and customer value. Consult with the Sales, Client Relationship, Implementation and Technology Product teams to gather input on emerging client needs and develop strategies to maximize the impact of Securian’s enrollment solutions, alongside those of our strategic partner to deliver superior enrollment outcomes. Partnership Engagement: Understand and communicate the Employee Benefits Solutions value proposition, customers, clients, and processes to help identify opportunities within and across markets. Meet with strategic partner regularly (in person and virtually) to review partnership results and develop ongoing plans for growth. Plan and execute on activities related to those identified growth opportunities. Serve as a subject matter expert for the unique value of our strategic partner relationship during the prospecting and sales process, by supporting RFPs, finalist presentations and distribution inquiries. Serve as a point of contact for service-related escalations, while demonstrating knowledge and application of operational best practices and technical integration capabilities with our strategic partner. Continually assess ways to improve efficiencies of strategic relationship with our benefits administration partner.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of the employee benefits market and the ability to align Group’s value proposition with employers and partners to drive sales and retention. 5+ years experience working within group insurance or employee benefits at a carrier or with a benefits enrollment and administration provider.

Strategic and innovative thinker with demonstrated history of bringing new ideas and market insights to projects. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively present and share information with varying audiences, including senior leadership. Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work across functional teams and with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally, to drive outcomes. Self-motivated with strong organizational, prioritization and problem-solving skills to manage an array of tasks and independently lead projects with varying deadlines.

Securian Financial believes in hybrid work as an integral part of our culture. Associates get the benefit of working both virtually and in our offices. If you’re in a commutable distance (90 minutes) you’ll join us 2-3 days each week in our offices to collaborate and build relationships. Our policy allows flexibility for the reality of business and personal schedules. When working in our offices at least two days per week isn’t feasible (vacations, illness, travel, etc.), an eight day per month standard is an option.
