Description:

Planned Companies is seeking a Porter for a part-time position located in Manhattan, New York. This role is critical to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and health standards of residential and commercial properties. The porter will be responsible for delivering high-quality janitorial services to ensure all common areas, restrooms, and building surroundings remain clean and welcoming.

The schedule for this role is Thursday to Monday, from 2 PM to 10 PM, and offers a competitive hourly wage of $22.85. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, professional, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain floors through vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, stripping, buffing, and waxing

• Dust ceilings, light fixtures, countertops, and furniture

• Scrub and sanitize restrooms including toilets, sinks, and kitchen fixtures

• Empty trash bins and clean windows

• Report breakages and maintenance issues and assist in placing supply orders

• Support building management with projects and various tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50 pounds or more

• Prior experience in janitorial work and use of cleaning equipment

• Ability to work both independently and within a team

• Strong communication and report-writing skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $22.85

• Monthly Equivalent (Estimated at 80 hours/month): $1828
