Portfolio Analyst

The purpose of this role is to provide key analytical, business intelligence and continuous improvement support to Group Projects global program. The role is accountable for program delivery performance reporting, analytics, and driving process improvement and including stakeholder management. A significant portion of the role relates to analysis for presentation to senior management and executives for the organization, therefore requires clear and concise articulation of key information, excellent stakeholder management skills and a challenger mentality. Urenco Group’s global project portfolio of capital projects accumulating up to 100 million annual CAPEX. The investment portfolio consists of over 100 projects ranging in value from 1M to several hundred € millions.

Education and Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four year accredited University or a CPA.
  • 5 years of related work experience.


Preferred

  • A Master’s degree in a related field.
  • 10 years of related work experience.


Primary Functions
 

  • The role forms part of Group Project’s , which includes analysis and challenge of capital allocation,budget planning, reporting, project portfolio management, project governance, and project assurance.
  • Actively promote a pro-active safety culture throughout the project lifecycle and across the organization.
  • Continual maintenance of a consolidated view of actual and planned global investment expenditure together with accompanying commentary and variance analysis
  • Continual maintenance of a consolidated view of global portfolio of capital projects together with accompanying commentary and variance analysis
  • Critically review input information to investment plans, including cashflow models/business cases to ensure quality of information is aligned with Urenco procedures
  • Development and management of global quality assurance practices for all Urenco CEP’s
  • Development and maintenance of portfolio reporting for presentation to Group executive bodies ensuring consistency and accuracy in project reporting
  • Reporting analytics for executive consumption.
  • Assurance action tracker analysis to develop thematic focus on future assurance activities
  • Trending analysis in preparation for reviews
  • Cross functional (Geographically and Departmental) collaboration with C-Suite and ExCom level to ensure best practices and continuous improvement in the delivery of One Urenco.
  • Full and accurate visibility on project status and aggregation of the project portfolio
  • On time reporting
  • Delivery of actionable intelligence from trending information
  • Development of Group investment planning and capital budgeting
  • Development of global quality assurance procedures
  • Gatekeeper for funding applications
  • Work Location: Eunice, NM/Hybrid
  • Work Schedule: Professional work schedule/ with minimal night/ weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed.
  • Travel Required: 10% of the time or less as required
  • Security Clearance Requirement: CAA Access and an L or Q level security clearance
  • Emergency Response Requirements: Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duty will be required; including being on-call (24/7) during your designated team duty week.
  • Work Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.
