Principal Software Engineer

Description:

Dataquad Inc. is looking for a Principal Software Engineer with a strong technical leadership background and deep expertise in designing distributed systems. This role requires a seasoned professional capable of leading technical architecture initiatives across multiple value streams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical architecture initiatives impacting multiple value streams.
• Design and develop scalable distributed systems with a disciplined approach.
• Conduct requirements analysis, estimation, and planning within a structured SDLC.
• Develop applications using Python, Java, C#, Go, or similar languages.
• Manage relational and non-relational databases (SQL, NoSQL, KV stores, caches).
• Architect solutions in major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Implement microservices, APIs, and real-time system integrations.
• Develop and execute automated unit and integration testing strategies.
• Work with asynchronous messaging systems and machine learning models in production environments.
• Apply large language models (LLMs) in production environments.

Required Skills & Experience:

✔ 10+ years of software industry experience, with at least 4+ years in a leadership role.
✔ 5+ years of technical architecture leadership impacting multiple value streams.
✔ 8+ years of experience with software development languages (Python, Java, C#, Go).
✔ 8+ years of experience with relational databases (including cloud-based solutions).
✔ 5+ years working with non-relational databases (document stores, KV stores, caches).
✔ 5+ years of cloud architecture experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).
✔ 5+ years in microservices architecture, APIs, and real-time integrations.
✔ 5+ years of experience with automated testing (unit & integration testing).
✔ 3+ years of hands-on experience with Python.
✔ 3+ years working with asynchronous messaging systems.
✔ 2+ years deploying machine learning models in a production environment.
✔ 1+ year of experience implementing large language models (LLMs) in production.
