Principal Solutions Architect

Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking an experienced Principal Solutions Architect – Observability to join their team remotely across the United States. This role is pivotal in guiding customers to implement and leverage Elastic’s Observability solutions, ensuring seamless integration of infrastructure monitoring, application monitoring, and logging aligned with OpenTelemetry standards.

The role involves being a trusted advisor, technical lead, and thought leader to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. It is ideal for professionals who are passionate about observability, AI-driven solutions, and enabling organizations to optimize their systems at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a technical authority and advisor on Elastic Observability solutions.

• Lead observability solution design focusing on infrastructure metrics, application tracing, and logging.

• Champion OpenTelemetry evolution and advocate its implementation among customers and communities.

• Conduct technical discussions, demonstrations, and create proof-of-concept (PoC) solutions.

• Collaborate with sales and customer teams to understand challenges and propose tailored solutions.

• Guide customers in adopting observability best practices for scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.

• Develop instructional workshops and technical resources to support enablement.

• Contribute to product development through field feedback.

• Represent Elastic at industry events, webinars, and conferences.

Qualifications:

• Deep expertise in OpenTelemetry with significant contributions to its ecosystem.

• Proven track record in pre-sales, consulting, or technical architecture roles related to Observability or AI.

• Experience with PoC development and supporting infrastructure (Kubernetes, Kafka, Postgres, etc.).

• Practitioner experience as an SRE or developer using observability products is a plus.

• Strong communication, influence, and presentation skills to inspire technical and non-technical audiences.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% regionally and occasionally internationally.
