Description:
LHH is supporting a growing healthcare-focused private equity firm located in Washington DC metro that is seeking a driven professional, who, in close partnership with the CFO, will oversee the financial operations of the firm, manage the firm's relationship with a third-party fund administrator, drive planning and strategic financial forecasting, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the activities of the third-party fund administrator, ensuring timely and accurate fund accounting and reporting.
- Collaborate with the CFO to manage the financial operations of the management company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and analyses to provide insights into the firm’s financial performance.
- Evaluate valuation models to confirm that assumptions are reasonable, data is accurate and reliable, and the final valuations are well-supported.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely completion of audits and tax filings.
- Support the CFO in strategic financial planning and decision-making processes.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and capital requirements to ensure the firm’s financial stability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CFA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance or accounting within the private equity, venture capital, or investment management industry.
- Strong knowledge of fund accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance related to alternative asset management industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
