Description:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Process Engineering Manager to lead our Industrial Engineering team and drive operational excellence within our organization. This role will focus on planning, developing, and implementing engineering strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize processes across all levels of operation. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership capabilities and a passion for continuous improvement.
As the Process Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in enhancing productivity through the development and execution of innovative engineering strategies, while leading a team dedicated to improving operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Industrial Engineering team to meet departmental goals and project deadlines.
Analyze production processes, workflows, and systems to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), work measurement systems, and time studies to standardize processes.
Lead lean manufacturing initiatives, Six Sigma projects, and other continuous improvement efforts to optimize production operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain) to drive productivity improvements.
Oversee capacity planning, layout design, and resource allocation for current and future operations.
Evaluate and implement automation and new technology to enhance operational performance and efficiency.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency and project outcomes.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within engineering projects.
Train and mentor engineering staff, fostering a culture of innovation and teamwork.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
5+ years of experience in industrial engineering, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or simulation tools.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
Strong leadership and communication abilities to effectively manage teams and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Experience with ERP systems and data analytics to optimize engineering processes.
Background in manufacturing is highly preferred.
