Procurement Manager

The Procurement Manager is responsible for all category management and strategic sourcing activities for our corporate operations spend including: HR, Professionals Services, Brand/Marketing, Fleet, Construction, Utilities and Technology. This role requires the use of initiative and independent judgement, while working effectively with multiple stakeholders across several corporate functions and field service locations. This role is well suited to a hands on Procurement Manager with strong skills in analysis, strategic sourcing and Excel.

The Procurement Manager will be expected to develop a holistic category management approach for the Corporate Operations category including:

Spend analysis to identify key vendors and potential sourcing opportunities in key spend categories
Build strong stakeholder relationships across all categories and develop a strategic sourcing calendar of initiatives that supports the department needs
Develop a holistic category approach and long term plan that aligns Corporate Ops procurement support with business unit needs to drive sustainable savings
Conduct industry research to support initiatives
Develop and run RFIs and RFPs to aid in vendor qualification, price discovery and vendor selection
Negotiate all terms and conditions of supply and collaborate with Legal on drafting vendor agreements with input from stakeholders
Facilitate implementation of new supply agreements and onboarding of new suppliers
Provide ongoing Supplier Relationship Management
Perform periodic business reviews with vendors to review performance and industry changes
Monitor vendors to ensure expected KPIs are met
Monitor raw material price indexes routinely to identify market trends that could impact UniFirst pricing with supplier base
Promptly respond to stakeholder issues regarding vendors' products and/or services
Reporting to Management

Cost savings, cost avoidance and performance improvements
Current sourcing initiative schedules
Opportunities for increasing supplier diversity, rationalizing suppliers and SKUs
Vendor usage and trend analysis
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess these minimum requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
CPM or CPSM preferred
Minimum 5 years of Strategic Sourcing and/or Buying experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the capability to use Excel to analyze large data sets
Apparel, consumer products, or industrial supply experience is a plus
Experience with an ERP system and eProcurement suite such as Oracle or SAP
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Negotiating skills
Demonstrated ability to accomplish KPI goals and facilitate continuous improvement
Strong time-management, and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel as required
