Description:
- Responsible for Truck and Bus tire development tasks from inception through serial production
- Coordination of Design Concepts, FMEA's, Gateway Presentations, Technical Specifications, Cross Section Design, Experimental Tire builds and all necessary testing/certifications for Truck and Bus tires.
- Ensure all relevant OE (Original Equipment) requirements and testing are met and completed in coordination with the responsible Automotive Engineer(s)
- Project leader for development projects including the planning, administration and steering of the project results concerning quality, timing and cost.
- Gather & document market knowledge for assigned products and applications to assist product management with product request criteria and to request new technology developments from Global Platform, Global Tread, Pattern Contour & Layout, and Material Development & Planning and other technology groups.
- Support of Technical Customer Service in support of O2I (Observation to Improvement) process
- Support Product Industrialization with CVG (Conti Value Generation) measures & product transfers
- Support Global Platform Development, Global Tread and Body compound developments by participating in technology development projects
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers including product launches/training, testing activities, test data analysis
- Product maintenance - Further development and maintenance of existing product lines including updates to product specifications, support of quality topics and SPS (Structured Problem Solving), introduction of new technologies and materials
- Senior level engineers may be assigned additional responsibilities, including local responsibility for related quality processes, known internally as GT Poms. Details are available as needed.

Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related sciences required.
- Minimum of 2-5 years Tires Development Experience
- Experience in product or technology development and project management.
- Presentation experience using Microsoft Office.
- English (spoken and written).
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will sponsor current internal Continental employees for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
