Responsibilities:
The Customer Funding Desk (CFD) group forms part of Global Transactional Banking (GTB) and is an integral part of BBVA’s global Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) division, as it supports the liquidity needs of CIB through selling liquidity products to Corporate and Institutional clients. The CFD liquidity specialist will provide consistent, in-depth and dedicated coverage to clients across the Americas.

We are looking for a dynamic client-facing, globally minded professional who can work in a fast-paced environment and has the ability to provide world-class service to our existing and prospective clients that have operations in the US and across the Americas, while working with the local and global relationship management teams. The candidate will also take responsibility for coordinating the client’s onboarding for liquidity products in New York. The CFD liquidity specialist will be located in New York.

List Major/Essential Job Duties:
Managing a target list of CIB clients in the Americas in coordination with the Global client managers to identify opportunities and offer all types of liquidity products, such as Demand Deposits, Time Deposits, Yankee CDs, etc.
Engaging in sales efforts by providing necessary product support and enhance visibility of liquidity products across the Americas footprint
Planning of marketing trips primarily in the US market and representing the interests of the bank during client visits and meetings
Prepare daily liquidity proposals and pricing to clients
Preparing marketing material including product presentations
Leading the process of negotiating terms and conditions directly with clients

Skills, knowledge, abilities/Competencies:
An ideal candidate has at least 4-5 years of experience in a CIB client facing role in a large corporate/global multinational foreign bank in New York
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or related field. MBA (preferred)
Fluent in English and proficient in Spanish (both oral and written)
Knowledge and understanding of CIB liquidity products
Knowledge of US regulations impacting client deposits and other liquidity products for corporate clients (BSA/AML, Reg W, etc.)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience identifying and leveraging internal resources, building and working with cross-bank teams to deliver solutions to clients
Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
Proven track record of managing multiple projects and transactions and executing the transactions in a bank that has a complex multi-country organization
Proficient in Bloomberg, Microsoft Office Tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint in order to deliver high-quality presentations to clients
