Description:

Heavy Duty Projects, a creative music and audio studio with global reach, is seeking a full-time Producer – Music Partnerships for their New York City location. This role is a dynamic blend of creative production, business development, and strategic relationship management, designed for someone who thrives at the intersection of music, media, and advertising.

The ideal candidate will bring an active and relevant network in advertising, media, or entertainment and demonstrate a deep passion for music. You will play a critical role in growing Heavy Duty’s client base while driving execution across original music projects, from concept to delivery.

This position is particularly well-suited to individuals from adjacent sectors such as VFX, post-production, or creative services who have transferable client relationships and a sharp creative sensibility.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Open new business opportunities through a strong, pre-existing network in media, brands, and advertising agencies

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with music supervisors and decision-makers in the entertainment space

  • Strategize with creative and licensing teams to align outreach efforts with project opportunities

  • Manage creative production for selected projects, including music searches, composer/artist coordination, editing, clearances, and asset delivery

  • Represent the company at key industry events, screenings, showcases, and meetings (including after-hours and weekends as needed)

  • Travel as necessary to build regional presence and maintain client relationships

  • Keep detailed project records using CRM and project management tools like Hubspot and Monday.com

  • Provide senior leadership with updates, lead intelligence, and sales reporting


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in creative sales, partnerships, or production in music, VFX, post-production, or related fields

  • Proven ability to speak credibly to both creative vision and execution

  • Strong communication and matchmaking skills to align clients with appropriate talent

  • Familiarity with CRM and project tracking software

  • Proactive, highly organized, and able to operate independently

  • Comfortable in both formal business environments and social creative settings

  • Enthusiastic about cultivating long-term, high-value partnerships


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $65000–$100000 annually (based on experience)

  • Additional Pay: Performance-based commission structure
