Production Manager

Our client is a manufacturer of automated machinery, as their business grows they are looking to add a Production Manager to the team. In this role you will lead the assembly, production and testing of their machines before they are sent out to customers.

What You'll Do:

As the Production Manager, you will have a varied role. We are looking for someone who can take a lead but can also 'roll up their sleeves' and get involved with the team when needed.

Some of your duties will include:

• Manage and lead a growing team of technicians and assemblers in the production department.
• Oversee the full production lifecycle: from assembly through testing and delivery of their custom machinery.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure machines are built to spec and delivered on time.
• Stay hands-on: Work side-by-side with your team in assembly and troubleshooting.
• Manage project timelines and production schedules using software tools and digital systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement in production processes, safety and team performance.

What We're Looking For:

• Background in mechanical assembly or production of industrial or automated equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and ability to contribute on the production floor.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Comfortable with production scheduling tools and computer-based project tracking.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Growth mindset - eager to develop and progress into higher leadership roles.
