Production Scheduler

Description:

The Production Controller / Planner will track and coordinate job orders internally and externally, ensuring timely completion to meet schedule due dates. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in production control within a fabrication setting and possess strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Constant communication with suppliers and internal departments to determine the status of components and subcomponents in the manufacturing process.
• Interact with vendors to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Plan, analyze, and schedule job orders within the facility.
• Review and monitor production schedules considering capacity levels and efficiency.
• Maintain spreadsheets with daily, weekly, and monthly schedules by project.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of production control experience or equivalent specialized training in scheduling control.
• Thorough knowledge of production control processes and procedures in a fabrication setting.
• Strong problem-solving skills, both general and mathematical.
• Basic knowledge of the metric system.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Microsoft Project preferred.
