Project Controller

 

Description:

This roles provides effective and efficient Project Controls support to their assigned project(s). To ensure that their project(s) accurately report their current progress, spend and commitment against their approved project baseline, in line with group project management procedures. Urenco Group’s global project portfolio of small and medium projects accumulating up to $100 million annual capex and select projects ranging from $50 million to in excess of $500 million are included in the scope of this role. The Project Controller role has multiple stakeholders, internal and external customers, as it is interfacing directly with the Urenco Group and Urenco USA.

Education and Experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or higher in Accounting, Business, Finance/Economics, Construction/Construction Management or Engineering and 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a project controls role on a significant project which includes construction
  • Project scheduling Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have a High School Diploma, GED or HISET and at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a project controls role on a significant project which includes construction

Job Details

  • The Project Controller will be working at the site in Eunice, NM.
  • Work Schedule: Professional work schedule/ with minimal night/ weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed
  • Travel Required: 10% of the time or less as required
  • Security Clearance Requirement: CAA Access and an L or Q level security clearance
  • Emergency Response Requirements: Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duty will be required; including being on-call (24/7) during your designated team duty week
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.

Primary Functions

  • Participation in interactive planning sessions for the development of project schedules
  • Ensure flawless integration of all project obligations and requirements, including integration of (multiple) contractors project schedule
  • Create and maintain (initial) project schedule baselines
  • Perform schedule analysis, prepare periodic reports and charts, and provide stakeholders with recommendations for improvements
  • Provide planning expertise to project teams and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Project Planning processes and performance
