Project Development Associate

 

Description:

ENGIE North America is actively seeking a Project Development Associate to join its Distributed Solar and Storage (DSS) team, contributing to the growth of renewable energy projects across the United States. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in solar and solar + storage development, directly supporting site origination, land acquisition, permitting, environmental review, and pre-construction activities. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about sustainable energy and eager to gain hands-on experience in project development within a leading global energy company.


Primary Responsibilities:

✅ Assist the development team in advancing a multi-state project portfolio of solar and storage projects.
✅ Perform due diligence on prospective project sites, ensuring potential challenges are identified and legal documents are accurately executed.
✅ Maintain accurate project pipeline data across all stages of development.
✅ Assist in preparing presentations and reports for project and market reviews at the DSS leadership level.


Key Requirements:

✔️ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field.
✔️ Knowledge: Basic understanding of renewable energy market trends is required.
✔️ Strong organizational and communication skills to support cross-functional teams and maintain accurate documentation.
✔️ Ability to analyze data and identify potential risks or development barriers.


Work Schedule:

🗓️ Hybrid work model with remote flexibility and occasional in-office work.
✈️ Travel: Domestic travel required up to 25% of the time, including occasional overnight trips.


Compensation:

💵 Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.14 USD per hour
📈 Eligible for enrollment in ENGIE’s 401(k) retirement plan with competitive employer match.


Contract Type:

📄 6-Month Temporary Contract (with no guarantee of extension or permanent employment).
