Project Engineer

Braun Intertec Corporation, a leading provider of geotechnical and construction materials engineering services, is seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer to join their Tyler, Texas office. This role involves managing moderate to highly complex geotechnical projects, providing technical expertise, and ensuring client satisfaction through high-quality engineering solutions.

The position requires strong leadership skills, project management expertise, and the ability to deliver practical and innovative geotechnical solutions. You will be responsible for developing client relationships, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring compliance with company health and safety policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Relationship Development: Build and maintain both project-related and non-project-related client relationships through regular meetings and communication.

• Project Leadership: Lead technical or project teams, managing scope, schedule, and budget to deliver successful outcomes.

• Proposal Preparation: Prepare proposals for moderate to complex projects.

• Engineering Analysis & Reporting: Conduct engineering analysis using company and industry methodologies; prepare professional engineering reports with actionable geotechnical recommendations.

• Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior engineering staff to build internal technical expertise.

• Compliance: Ensure adherence to corporate health and safety policies.

• Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BS) in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering (Master’s preferred but optional).

• Minimum of 3 years in geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing project management.

• Professional Engineer registration/licensure in Texas or eligibility within 6–12 months.

• Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage project budgets and deliver within scope and schedule.

• Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50–75 pounds on a periodic basis.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary: $77400 – $116000

• Monthly salary: approximately $6450 – $9666 per month

Work Environment
