Project Manager

3P Careers is recruiting for a rapidly expanding client who is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of civil and site land development design projects. This role requires a leader who can manage client relationships, financial performance, project delivery, and mentor engineering/design staff to drive excellence and profitability.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and possess an active PE registration in Maryland. Southern Maryland experience is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a strong track record of project and team management in civil/site land development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all aspects of client and project management for civil/site land development projects.

• Develop and prepare proposals tailored to client needs.

• Deliver exceptional, responsive client service and build lasting client relationships.

• Oversee project schedules, budgets, invoicing, and ensure financial performance goals are met.

• Provide technical expertise to assist clients in achieving their development objectives.

• Represent clients at public presentations, hearings, and key project milestones.

• Contribute actively to business development and marketing initiatives.

• Lead, mentor, and develop design staff, supervising workloads, ensuring quality control, and planning resources.

• Monitor team performance, providing regular feedback and recognition to encourage growth.

• Collaborate with senior leadership to align with and achieve company goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Maryland is mandatory.

• 10–12 years of progressive civil engineering experience in land development design.

• Minimum 5 years managing civil/site land development projects and supervising design teams.

• Strong organizational skills with excellent delegation, written, and verbal communication abilities.

• Proven ability to build, maintain, and grow client relationships while delivering high-quality service.
