The organization addresses pollution prevention, toxics use reduction, sustainability, materials management, hazardous waste, solid waste, emergency response, and related environmental challenges in CT, ME, MA, NH, NJ, NY, RI, and VT. NEWMOA fosters regional collaboration to solve environmental problems and promote sustainability. The organization supports states in implementing policies, developing strategies for emerging issues, and training officials to handle environmental challenges. NEWMOA also engages and educates the public and regulated community.

Are you passionate about environmental management and looking for a part-time opportunity with a fantastic team? NEWMOA is actively recruiting a Project Manager (20 hours per week) to take on the role of IMERC Coordinator. This position involves meeting facilitation and database management, supporting our member states in the Interstate Mercury Education and Reduction Clearinghouse (IMERC). Additionally, you'll have the chance to contribute to the planning of our 2026 PFAS and Brownfields Conference, with potential for additional hours if interested.

Compensation: $30,000 - $37,500 per year, based on experience.
