Description:
Primary Talent Partners, a leading staffing and recruitment firm, is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee major projects for a large industrial gas client in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. This role involves managing all phases of industrial construction, ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, and project timelines. The selected candidate will play a critical role in coordinating with contractors, engineers, and production teams to ensure seamless execution of site activities and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
A per diem of $178/day is offered to candidates who live more than 50 miles away from the base location.
Client: Large Industrial Gas Company
Contract Duration: 8 months (with potential for extension)
Phase 1
Start Date: September 2, 2025 (tentative, ±1 week)
Duration: 17 weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10-hour shifts (Central Time Zone), with potential weekend work
Estimated End Date: December 27, 2025
Phase 2
Start Date: February 16, 2026 (tentative, ±1 week)
Duration: 15 weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10-hour shifts (Central Time Zone), with potential weekend work
Estimated End Date: May 31, 2026 (possible 1-month extension)
Employment Type: W2 only (No Corp-to-Corp, 1099, or sponsorship)
Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications, and budget.
Manage construction sites and oversee contractors to ensure compliance with client standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
Develop and maintain Hazardous Work Permits (HWP) and conduct Daily Safety Briefings.
Coordinate site activities with the Prime Contractor’s Site Superintendent and review daily Job Safety Analyses (JHAs).
Oversee QA/QC inspections, ensuring all testing procedures (NDE, hydrostatic, pneumatic, dye penetrant, radiography) are performed and documented properly.
Identify and resolve construction issues, clearly communicating findings and solutions to the Project Manager.
Enforce compliance with all building codes, OSHA standards, and safety regulations.
Maintain construction documentation, including Scopes of Work (SoW), progress reports, and contractor performance evaluations.
Manage material inventory, equipment acquisition, and logistics to avoid project delays.
Plan and monitor construction phases to meet all milestones and deadlines.
Collaborate with the Production Team for planned site work, ensuring all Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) and energy control procedures are properly executed.
Conduct Pre-Startup Inspections, maintain startup checklists, and report project progress to management.
Respond proactively to work delays, emergencies, and operational disruptions to minimize downtime.
Proven track record of maintaining safe construction environments and enforcing safety standards.
Strong working knowledge of Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical construction disciplines.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, contracts, and engineering documentation.
Familiarity with construction methods, building codes, and scheduling techniques.
5+ years of industrial construction experience (industrial manufacturing, oil & gas, or related).
Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage multiple stakeholders.
OSHA 10 or 30-Hour Training preferred.
Experience with cryogenics, liquid COâ‚‚ production, and storage systems is an added advantage.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance.
