The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide remote mental health care to diverse clients, primarily adults and adolescents (14+), with conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other psychiatric disorders. The role emphasizes patient safety and best practices, with stimulant prescriptions offered only when clinically appropriate. Clinicians are expected to collaborate on care plans, perform psychiatric assessments, prescribe medication as needed, and adhere to Thriveworks’ clinical practice guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and ongoing evaluations via telemedicine.

• Prescribe medications to manage symptoms, exercising sound clinical judgment.

• Treat clients aged 14 years and older.

• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with clients.

• Complete required documentation, forms, and assessments with accuracy.

• Adhere to Thriveworks’ clinical guidelines and standards of care.

• Consult with Regional Clinic Directors and team members to ensure quality care delivery.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

• Master’s in Nursing with prescriptive authority in the state of Texas.

• Must be licensed and living in the state of Texas.

• At least 1 year of psychiatry practice (3 years preferred).

• Willingness to complete in-house ADHD training and certification.

• Familiarity with AdvancedMD (AMD) EMR is a plus.
