Psychiatrist

Description:

We are seeking a Psychiatrist to serve as a Medical Expert Reviewer for the California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC).

Role Summary

Review denied treatment requests and render final medical determinations based on:

• Medical Necessity
• Experimental/Investigational status
• Emergency

Reviews are specialty-driven, completed through a secure web-based portal, and do not involve direct patient care.

Training

• One-on-one training for the first 3–5 cases
• Flexible scheduling based on reviewer availability
• Standardized templates provided

Requirements

• Board Certified in Psychiatry for 5 years
• Minimum 5 years in Transgender Health
• At least 24 hours/week of in person patient care
• MD or DO
• Associated with WPATH Community
