Description:
The ideal candidate will be an execution-minded professional who can think strategically, adapt quickly, work independently, and rapidly earn credibility and trust within all levels of the organization. They will be able to critically analyze and communicate the costs and benefits of refinements to policies and their implementation. They should be passionate about the services we provide and the people that we serve. Given the demands of content-related escalations, the candidate will sometimes be expected to work irregular hours, including early mornings, late nights, or weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Help craft and implement content policies that take into consideration the needs of a global community.
- Collaborate with Policy, Product, Operations, Communications and External Stakeholders to drive policy improvements.
- Act as a global escalation point of contact and manage internal communications for policy issues. Be the on-call POC for escalations at regular cadence.
- Help articulate policy philosophy, launches, and changes to relevant parties, including management, operations, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Build relationships with and understand the perspectives of partners on internal teams, such as Public Policy, Communications, Operations, Product, and Legal.
- This role may involve exposure to potentially graphic and / or objectionable content including but not limited to graphic images, videos, audio, and writings, offensive or derogatory language, self-injury, animal abuse, and other content which may be considered offensive or disturbing.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years experience in policy, government, project management, law, or operations
- Demonstrated analytical-thinking and problem-solving experience
- Experience communicating cross-functionally, particularly in the area of consensus-building and persuasion
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to work with potentially graphic and objectionable content
