Description:

NextEra Energy Resources is seeking a PV Solar Field Technician II to support the operation and maintenance of solar power plants, including solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage systems, and AC/DC inverters. This position ensures safe, efficient, and environmentally sound plant operations. The role involves travel across sites in the Syracuse/Western NY area, with responsibilities in troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operation & Maintenance: Maintain and inspect solar PV systems, inverters, and battery energy storage to ensure optimal performance.

• Troubleshooting: Perform troubleshooting and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and electronic components.

• Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

• Reliability Engineering: Contribute to reliability and warranty management to ensure consistent operational efficiency.

• Team Support: Assist team members in maintaining and operating sites across the region, including performing maintenance and repairs as needed.

• Heavy Equipment Operation: Operate necessary heavy equipment for site operations.

• Additional Duties: Handle business-related tasks, contractor management, and inventory management.

Qualifications:

• Required Qualifications:

  • High School Grad / GED

  • At least 1 year of experience in a related field

  • Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • Trade School Graduate

  • Licensed Electrician or Licensed Master Electrician

  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Pay: $55,200.00 to $82,800.00 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
