Description:
STAND 8 Technology Consulting, a renowned IT solutions provider serving enterprise partners across the United States and internationally, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Automation QA Engineer to join its dynamic and growing team. The selected individual will work in a fast-paced, hybrid environment leveraging cutting-edge technologies to ensure the delivery of high-quality enterprise-level software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct static analysis of user stories and requirements, identifying any ambiguities and communicating them effectively to stakeholders.
Develop comprehensive test documentation and execute various test phases as per project plans.
Deliver accurate, detailed, and timely reports on test results and project progress.
Collaborate closely with project teams, representing QA during reviews and status meetings.
Provide precise testing estimates and contingency plans to ensure project success.
Act as a subject matter expert for assigned projects and actively share knowledge with the team.
Perform both manual and automated testing across multiple levels including component, functional, usability, exploratory, sanity, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Research, recommend, and implement new testing tools and methodologies to optimize QA processes.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing test coverage, efficiency, and quality across teams.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, processes, and terminology.
Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical abilities.
Experience with collaborative development practices including pair programming and code reviews.
Solid knowledge of software engineering principles such as SOLID, design patterns, TDD, and BDD.
Proficiency in version control tools (Git/GitHub) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
Intermediate-level knowledge of programming languages (Java, C#) or scripting languages (JavaScript, Python).
Experience with automation frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.
Understanding of API testing (XML/JSON/REST/SOAP) and familiarity with tools like JIRA, GitHub, Zephyr, Charles, or Fiddler.
Troubleshooting proficiency with application and network logs.
Exposure to media streaming technologies (DASH/HLS), DRM solutions (Widevine, FairPlay), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud platforms (preferably AWS), and monitoring tools like Grafana.
