Description:
Airbus, through its Aerovel Flexrotor Program, seeks a Quality Assurance Technician to ensure the safety, reliability, and compliance of unmanned aircraft systems. The role involves rigorous quality inspections, process adherence, and close collaboration with engineering, supplier, and manufacturing teams to uphold high-quality standards for one of the most advanced small tactical unmanned aerial systems (STUAS) with VTOL capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform technical inspections on incoming materials, airframes, aircraft components, and sub-assemblies.
Conduct in-process and final inspections, including electrical and composite components.
Assist in quality investigations and monitor corrective actions.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and documentation.
Conduct internal audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address non-conformances and enhance quality standards.
Perform First Article Inspections and ensure proper tagging, identification, and airworthiness of parts.
Qualifications and Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.
Minimum 4 years of QA/QC experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace preferred).
Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO9001 quality management systems.
Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and bills of materials.
Proficiency with hand tools, calibrated instruments, and MS Office/G Suite.
US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder, or ITAR-authorized).
Preferred certifications: FAA Airframe & Powerplant License, FAA Inspection Authorization, NDI Certificate.

Hourly Rate: $31 – $45/hour (based on experience and geographic differential).
