How would you like to be able to tell your friends and family that you helped manufacture powertrain component’s that are in vehicle’s they drive every day? Well, that’s what we do here, design and manufacture transmission and engine timing powertrain components for the auto industry.

As a Quality Engineering Co-op in TC, these are some of the things that you will be introduced to:

  • High volume machining, assembly, and testing/verification processes
  • Automation and material handling systems
  • Production control methods and planning for quality
  • Structured root cause analysis methods and corrective action determination
  • Quality performance studies and statistical analysis of manufacturing data
  • Metallurgical and metrology inspection techniques
  • Manufacturing control plans, process FMEAs, standardized work instructions
  • Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

Quality Engineering Co-ops enjoy a healthy balance of hands on and office work, and will interact with engineers from product and applications engineering, manufacturing engineering, and quality engineering, as well as a number of laboratory and manufacturing personnel in their daily activities.A Quality Engineering Co-op should be self starting, highly motivated, and able to excel at a wide range of tasks with minimal supervision.
