Description:
MSCI Inc., a leading global provider of investment decision support tools and services, is seeking a Quantitative Researcher – Credit to join its Fixed Income Investing & Securitised Products Research team. This role focuses on developing and advancing innovative research and quantitative investment strategies for credit and fixed income markets across both public and private sectors.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing and implementing cutting-edge models, conducting advanced research using data science and AI methodologies, and collaborating with top-tier investment practitioners including asset managers, hedge funds, banks, and asset owners.
Collaborate with senior leaders to develop, prioritize, and execute key research initiatives within fixed income and credit markets.
Support expansion into new asset classes, especially within public and private credit markets.
Conduct research on public market investment processes including alpha generation, portfolio construction, execution, and trade analysis.
Lead research efforts on private market strategies, focusing on fund evaluation, risk assessment, and portfolio design.
Design and test advanced quantitative investment models and trading strategies using a scientific approach.
Utilize modern data science and AI techniques to enhance research outcomes.
Contribute to the improvement of automated analytics and reporting tools.
5–10 years of relevant quantitative research or modelling experience in credit markets.
Degree in statistics, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, computer science, applied economics, or finance (Bachelor’s to Doctorate level).
Strong programming skills in Python; proficiency in SQL; experience with AI and machine learning techniques preferred.
Independent thinker with a creative approach to data analysis and ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
Competitive monthly salary of $14416 – $18750 plus annual bonus eligibility.
