Panda Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager to help lead daily operations at a single Panda Express location. The Assistant Manager is responsible for supervising associate performance, supporting financial and operational goals, and ensuring outstanding guest experiences. Panda provides a structured Store Management Leadership Training program to prepare you for success and long-term career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Store Operations & Leadership

• Assist in operating and managing a single Panda Express store

• Hire, train, supervise, and develop associates

• Support financial goals and store performance metrics

• Ensure exceptional guest service and hospitality

• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant operating environment

Training & Development

• Complete 3+ weeks of paid Store Leadership Training

• Participate in ongoing career and leadership development opportunities

• Mentor and support team members

Customer Experience

• Ensure a consistently high-quality guest experience

• Resolve guest concerns and handle escalations effectively

• Maintain food safety compliance and store cleanliness

Operational Excellence

• Support food preparation, cooking, and service as needed

• Maintain inventory, store standards, and operational procedures

• Ensure adherence to food safety (including ServeSafe certification)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required

• Serve Safe certification required

• Ability to work flexible schedules (including weekends)

• Willingness to work in stores within a 50-mile radius

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage challenges, conflicts, and shifting priorities

Additional Requirements / Working Conditions:

• Hot and noisy kitchen environment

• Must use kitchen tools including Chinese cook knife

• Requires reaching across 36-inch countertops

• Standing up to 4 hours at a time

• Must be able to prepare hot and cold foods quickly and accurately
