Description:
PNC is hiring Regional Bankers/Tellers to deliver outstanding customer service and financial guidance as part of its Retail Banking team in Palm Desert, California. This role is central to enhancing client experiences, identifying opportunities for financial wellbeing, and increasing customer loyalty and revenue through proactive engagement.
As a Regional Banker/Teller, you will be the face of PNC, managing a wide range of customer interactions to position banking solutions that fit client needs while collaborating with partners across the organization to expand customer relationships. This position emphasizes internal and outbound sales conversations, teller services, lobby engagement, and appointment setting. You will be expected to deliver comprehensive PNC Conversations during each client interaction to assess needs and recommend tailored banking solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
🟣 Customer Experience & Sales:
Proactively engage clients through teller windows, appointments, outbound calls, and lobby interactions
Identify client needs, offer solutions, and promote PNC banking products and digital tools
Foster customer loyalty and grow wallet share through personalized, tech-enabled service experiences
Educate clients on transaction tools and financial resources
🟣 Problem Solving & Risk Management:
Apply product and procedural knowledge to efficiently address and resolve customer concerns
Demonstrate sound judgment in handling financial transactions and operational tasks
Ensure compliance with risk protocols, policies, and procedures
🟣 Operational Excellence:
Complete daily branch operations and maintenance accurately
Adhere to all regulatory guidelines including Consumer Financial Protection Bureau regulations
Help drive branch success through teamwork and active participation in bank initiatives

Ability to prospect and sell retail banking and lending products
Knowledge of banking products and digital platforms

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
Minimum 1 year of experience in a banking, customer service, or related role
Must be able to pass additional background checks required by CFPB regulations
Strong preference for candidates with knowledge in retail lending and sales
Working Conditions:
Regular client-facing interactions in branch environment
Standard physical requirements such as standing for extended periods and handling transaction tools
Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary: $43,160 – $57,000 annually (approx. $3596 – $4750 monthly)
Incentives: Role is bonus-eligible based on company and individual performance
