Description:

ABB, a global leader in industrial technology and automation, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager (HVAC – South Central) to expand its HVAC Drives product portfolio and market share in the U.S. This role focuses on managing tier-1 channel partners and commercial OEM customers, driving new business development, and implementing ABB’s HVAC market separation strategy. Reporting directly to the Vice President-Global HVACR Segment Manager, the position requires a proven track record in sales leadership, account management, and HVAC applications.

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for managing sales processes end-to-end, from engaging customers to negotiating delivery schedules, payment terms, and commercial conditions. They will ensure efficient marketing activities, communicate strong value propositions, identify new market opportunities, and support project execution and cash collection when necessary. This position demands strong business acumen, technical HVAC knowledge, and experience in managing OEMs, end users, and commercial channel partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive ABB’s HVAC sales strategy regionally, expanding market share with channel partners and OEMs.

  • Communicate delivery timelines, payments, and commercial terms aligned with ABB’s strategy.

  • Identify, develop, and execute new market opportunities.

  • Support project management activities and cash collection processes when needed.

  • Promote ABB’s HVAC Drives portfolio through efficient marketing and demand generation.

  • Maintain and expand relationships with key customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience in complex sales environments (Engineering degree preferred).

  • Proven sales and HVAC application expertise, with strong knowledge of variable frequency drives (VFDs).

  • Strong account management experience with OEMs, end users, and commercial partners in the HVAC sector.

  • Familiarity with CRM tools (SalesForce, PowerBI).

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
