Description:

The State of Missouri – Department of Corrections is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to serve as a Contract Compliance Monitor for the Central Office in Jefferson City, MO. This critical role involves overseeing, auditing, and ensuring that medical unit activities within correctional facilities meet established contracts, policies, procedures, and standards for offender care. The position serves as a vital link between healthcare services vendors and the Missouri Department of Corrections (MODOC) to ensure that high-quality medical care is consistently delivered across all facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audits, quarterly site visits, and prepare comprehensive reports to assess compliance with contracts and policies.

  • Review and address offender care activities, complaints, and grievances to ensure appropriate medical services are provided.

  • Act as a liaison between healthcare vendors and MODOC, fostering communication and collaboration to maintain high standards of care.

  • Recommend and encourage areas of improvement and change where required to enhance care delivery.

  • Participate in policy reviews to support the standardization of healthcare services across the correctional system.

  • Engage in departmental, divisional committee meetings, and weekly compliance meetings to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  • Evaluate constituent concerns from offenders, their families, and other stakeholders to determine validity and recommend appropriate actions.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.

  • At least five years of experience in the healthcare field as a licensed registered nurse.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experience in contract monitoring is highly preferred.
