Registered Nurse

Description:

Carilion Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Behavioral Health unit at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center (CNRVMC) in Christiansburg, VA. The role involves providing exceptional patient care with respect, dignity, and empathy. RNs will be responsible for the coordination and provision of individualized care for patients of all ages using critical thinking, clinical judgment, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing age-specific admissions, assessments, and developing individualized care plans.

• Collaborating with healthcare teams, patients, and families to evaluate and revise care plans as needed.

• Administering treatments and medications accurately while maintaining electronic medical records (EPIC).

• Ensuring quality service through a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or approved program eligible for VA licensure exam.

• Computer proficiency for electronic medical record systems (EPIC).

• Ability to complete orientation and competency requirements successfully.
