Registered Nurse

Description:

NaphCare, Inc. is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) for night shifts to provide comprehensive healthcare to individuals incarcerated at the Pasco County Detention Center in Florida. As a Correctional RN, you will collaborate with correctional officers and medical staff to deliver care in a secure environment. This role involves performing physical assessments, administering medications, managing chronic illnesses, responding to emergencies, and educating patients on preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial health screenings and physical assessments of newly detained individuals.

• Monitor and document patient health, vital signs, and medical histories.

• Provide direct patient care, triage, assess patient needs, develop care plans, and coordinate services.

• Manage acute and chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension, and diabetes.

• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed.

• Educate patients on preventive care, healthy lifestyles, and substance abuse prevention.

• Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to correctional facility security protocols.

Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted Florida RN license.

• Active CPR certification.

• Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening.

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Capable of working independently and in a team environment.

• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
