This Registered Nurse position is within the Adult Oncology Department at Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center. It requires active participation in fulfilling the mission of the Medical Center, with behavior consistent with the core values of Integrity, Accountability, Best Practices, Compassion, and Synergy. The nurse will play a pivotal role in patient care by directing and coordinating nursing care for patients in the Oncology Unit. The position involves working within established policies and procedures, coordinating patient care, and evaluating the care rendered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilizing the nursing process and clinical nursing standards for patient care management.

• Analyzing patient data to form a nursing diagnosis and determine appropriate interventions.

• Delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel.

• Demonstrating leadership in coordinating patient care and meeting desired patient outcomes.

• Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with privacy laws.

• Communicating effectively with patients, families, and the medical team.

• Designing and evaluating patient teaching plans and collaborating with family members as needed.

• Serving as a mentor and role model for new staff.

• Contributing to the development of a safe and effective work environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay Range: $49.51/hr - $77.62/hr

• $10,000 signing bonus available for external hires new to MemorialCare, contingent upon meeting employment requirements.
