This role acts as a leader in delivering patient care within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The Registered Nurse effectively delegates, directs, and assists team members while taking accountability for quality outcomes. Sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity is crucial, and the role supports the organization’s goals and nursing philosophy through professional and ethical practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply the nursing process effectively in the delivery of care.

• Assess patient and family learning needs and implement appropriate teaching strategies.

• Lead and manage team resources efficiently.

Education Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school – required

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing – preferred

Certifications Required:

• Active RN license in the state of practice

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

• Clinical specialty certification – preferred

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong computer and web-based application skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication

• Effective organizational and time management abilities

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Frequent exertion of 10–20 lbs; occasional exertion up to 100 lbs

• Potential exposure to hazardous medications or waste
