Registered Nurse

Description:

Mercy Health seeks Registered Nurses to join their Weekend Only program at St. Elizabeth Boardman - 5S, providing exceptional nursing care in a medical surgical telemetry setting. The RN will work part-time day shifts from Friday 7 a.m. to Monday 7 a.m., with a shift differential rewarding additional pay for weekend work. There is an option to pick up additional shifts during the week at base pay.

The RN role requires assessing patient conditions, prioritizing care, implementing clinical interventions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes in a safe and therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments

• Develop, evaluate, and revise patient care plans

• Administer medications safely according to state and Mercy Health policies

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver coordinated care

• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients

• Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Certifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

• Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association or Red Cross (offered during orientation if not held)

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – American Heart Association (offered during orientation if not held)

• Ability to interpret instructions and communicate effectively

• Prioritize tasks and work independently

• Adaptability to change and handle stressful situations

• Exposure to infectious agents and potential hazardous substances
