Role Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Neuro ICU acts as a leader in patient care by applying the nursing process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and professional standards. The RN will delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary staff to ensure quality outcomes, demonstrating sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity. This role supports unit and department strategic goals and embodies professional responsibility.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Nursing

• Required: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of practice

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

• Preferred: Certification in Clinical Specialty Area

Experience:

• None required

• Proficiency with computers, software, and web-based applications

Physical and Environmental Demands:

• Heavy physical work requiring lifting of 10 to 100 pounds occasionally
