Embrace New Life Counseling & Wellness is hiring a Registered Play Therapist (or a clinician eligible for RPT status) to join their faith-informed, trauma-responsive, family-systems-oriented team in Rockwall / Royse City, Texas. This part-time, contract-based role is ideal for a compassionate, creative, and relational therapist who thrives in a supportive, doctoral-led environment and is passionate about making a transformative impact on children and families.

The therapist will work primarily with children aged 3–10, facilitating healing from trauma, anxiety, and attachment-related issues through developmentally appropriate, evidence-based play therapy methods. The therapist will actively engage with parents to foster emotional literacy, co-regulation skills, and relational resilience at home. In addition, the clinician is expected to maintain timely and ethical documentation using a secure, HIPAA-compliant digital system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver weekly play therapy sessions to children ages 3–10 using developmentally appropriate and evidence-based techniques.

  • Conduct parent consultations, offer feedback sessions, and collaborate with schools or healthcare professionals as needed.

  • Participate in team consultations and continuous training in faith-informed, trauma-aware therapy practices.

  • Maintain licensure and good standing with all relevant regulatory boards and associations.

Qualifications:

  • Must be fully licensed in Texas (LPC, LCSW, LMFT).

  • Must hold the RPT credential or be actively working toward it.

  • Strong experience with trauma, attachment, and therapeutic work with children.

  • Alignment with a faith-based approach and sensitivity to a range of Christian values.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Availability for afternoon, evening, or Saturday morning sessions to meet family schedules.
