Reinsurance Actuarial Director

Description:

Aon is seeking a Reinsurance Actuarial Director to analyze the costs and benefits of risks under reinsurance agreements, perform pricing analysis, dynamic risk modeling for large accounts, and oversee analysts for small to medium-sized accounts. The role involves both advanced actuarial analysis and management of junior colleagues, with responsibilities to communicate results to clients and brokers clearly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze reinsurance agreements, pricing, and risk modeling.

• Oversee and mentor junior analysts in actuarial methods and reporting.

• Take ownership of quality, accuracy, and timely completion of analyses.

• Understand reinsurance contracts, terminology, and terms.

• Lead client service projects to improve processes and products.

• Collaborate with brokers and analytics teams to respond to client needs.

• Design narratives and presentations for client communication.

• Communicate effectively to actuaries and non-actuaries.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 7+ years’ experience in P&C actuarial roles.

• ACAS credential or higher, or advanced degree preferred.

• Proficiency in programming languages (R, Python, C, Java).

• Proficiency with MS Office suite.

• Reinsurance or consulting experience preferred.

• Strong mathematical and statistical analysis skills.

• Dynamic Financial Analysis or Economic Capital Modeling experience is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree required.
