Veranova, a global leader in the development and manufacturing of complex Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), is seeking a Reliability Engineer for its West Deptford, New Jersey facility. The Reliability Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, maintainability, and performance of plant equipment, facilities, and utilities. Working closely with the Maintenance Department and other engineering teams, this position focuses on identifying and mitigating reliability risks, improving equipment performance, and enhancing overall plant efficiency.
Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance and reliability programs for new and existing equipment.
Design and refine preventive maintenance (PM) strategies and predictive maintenance methodologies (e.g., vibration analysis, oil monitoring, thermography).
Create and maintain asset management plans to minimize unplanned downtime and ensure operational excellence.
Conduct data-driven failure analyses using techniques such as fault tree analysis, Six Sigma, root cause failure analysis (RCFA), and reliability modeling.
Develop and execute risk management plans to anticipate and mitigate potential reliability and operational risks.
Participate in the selection and evaluation of technical suppliers, service providers, and maintenance contractors.
Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to analyze asset utilization, equipment effectiveness, and operating costs.
Provide technical support, engineering expertise, and training to maintenance personnel.
Assist in the design, installation, and commissioning of new systems and equipment.
Apply value analysis to repair, replacement, or redesign decisions to optimize cost efficiency and performance.
Maintain detailed documentation, including maintenance plans, reports, and reliability metrics.
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in maintenance and reliability, production management, engineering, or operations within a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in preventive maintenance programs and predictive maintenance technologies.
Strong understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Knowledge of bulk pharmaceutical manufacturing systems and related support processes.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and Visio).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and repair manuals.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is highly desirable.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
