Respiratory Therapist

MaineHealth’s Lincoln Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join its clinical team in Damariscotta, Maine. This is a full-time, night shift opportunity offering a self-scheduling model and a $20,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care to patients with cardiovascular and pulmonary disorders in a hospital setting.

Shift Details:

• Night Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM

• Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends per 6-week period

• Holiday Requirement: 2 major and 1 minor holiday per year

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic testing of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment

• Administer respiratory care treatments and life support to patients with heart and lung conditions

• Work collaboratively under the supervision of physicians and advanced practice practitioners

• Participate in a team-oriented clinical environment and contribute to patient-centered care

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate from an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Therapy

• Must hold a valid state license in Respiratory Care

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or CRRT certification required

• Current BLS certification required

• Must obtain ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within one year of start date (if not already certified)

• Preferred: Minimum one year of experience in an acute care setting
