We are looking for a Retail Store Manager to oversee operations at our branded merchandise store located within our client corporate campus in Charlotte, NC. Our ideal Store Manager has excellent customer service skills, a winning attitude, and an expectation of success. They are enthusiastic, responsive, upbeat, confident, self-motivated, organized, and focused on customer satisfaction. They are responsible for the managing the retail store and will oversee one Retail Sales Associate.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations
- Manage the daily operations of the retail store.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Maintain store appearance, merchandising standards, and overall store environment.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures.
- Drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Execute promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives.
- Knowledge of visual merchandising principles and retail presentation standards.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop store associates.
- Create employee schedules and manage labor costs.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback.
- Foster a positive, high-performance culture focused on customer service and results.
Customer Experience
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are consistently met.
- Resolve escalated customer concerns and issues.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvement initiatives.
- Observe, assess, and respond to customer and operational needs throughout each shift.
Inventory & Merchandising
- Manage inventory levels and stock replenishment.
- Ensure accurate inventory counts and loss prevention practices.
- Coordinate product displays and merchandising activities.
- Regularly lift, unpack, move, organize, and stock merchandise.
Requirements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of retail management experience.
- Proven success in achieving sales goals and managing teams.
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, and inventory management.
- Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through email and other electronic communication platforms.
